Our Process
Initial Consultation & Assessment
The mediation process begins with an individual consultation where the mediator meets with each party to understand the situation, explain the mediation process, and assess whether mediation is appropriate.
Gathering Information
Both parties provide the necessary information relating to finances, assets, debts, parenting arrangements, and any other matters relevant to the dispute. This is to assist the mediator to gain a better understanding as well make better recommendations.
Identify Issues
The mediator helps the parties identify the matters that need to be resolved and creates a structured agenda for discussions. All parties to this process have an opportunity to express their views.
Facilitate Negotiation & Problem-Solving
Through guided discussions, the mediator assists the parties in exploring options and negotiating practical solutions that meet the needs of all family members, particularly the children.
Reaching Agreements
Once common ground is found, the mediator records the agreements reached by the parties. The parties is allowed to seek legal advice regarding the agreements.
Finalization & Implementation
The final agreements are submitted to the relevant legal authorities, where applicable, and the parties begin implementing the agreed arrangements. In Divorce cases, the agreements are represented in court and the magistrate makes a decision based on fair and law abiding agreements.
